At the onset of the Covid 19 pandemic, we had to stop visiting the sick and homebound members of the parish, but with the lifting of restrictions, we can once again take Holy Communion to those parishioners who are unable to join us here at Church to celebrate Liturgy. Sometimes we serve people on a temporary basis as they recover from surgery or illness, and sometimes we help people prepare for their final journey by bringing them the sacrament of the Eucharist and the prayers and love of their community.
The ministry encourages you to help spread the word to those homebound parishioners you know who desire to receive Holy Communion. As well as serving the homebound, we also serve the facilities of The Haven and Sedona Winds in the Village of Oak Creek.
Here in Sedona, as we are an aging population, we have an increasing need for volunteers to help in this ministry. It is a small time-commitment on our part, maybe an hour or two a week, but it has an enormous impact on the lives of those we serve.
We ask you to prayerfully seek God’s guidance and look into your hearts. If you feel He may be calling you, please join the Ministers of Care in sharing God’s love with your fellow parishioners. See the brochure for additional information.
