The Religious Education program includes children in Pre-K through 12th grade.
Discernment by parents for children or teens means to judge objectively if their son or daughter is ready to receive a sacrament. This can be accomplished by attending liturgy each week with them and having several conversations about the sacrament over a period of time. Questions are asked that will challenge them to articulate their understanding of the sacrament. It is important for them to explain why they want to receive the sacrament. They also need to have an awareness of their responsibility as a Christian toward the community, family, friends and self.
